fatarms 7,779 Posted May 18, 2012 Hi guys, I looked and didn't find anything that showed how to remove and center a pearl on a ceramic Sub or DSSD bezel. I know it's pretty subtle, off to the left but it's right out front and easy to see and it bugs the crap outta me. You can clearly see part of the white triangle on the right side of the pearl and it's right up against the blue bezel on the left. Is there an easy way to recenter it without damaging the bezel? Luthier 1 Posted May 18, 2012 If it's a ceramic bezel insert - put heated soldering iron at the point, where insert meet the pearl, heat it up, remove the pearl, clean the bottom of it, apply microscopic amount od crazy glue gel around the lil stick in the center of the pearl bottom, put pearl back, center it, and let it dry. 10:10 Watch Repair 1 Posted May 18, 2012 The pearl is inserted into a hole in the bezel. Removing it is only half the battle. It can be pressed out from the underside, and then the hole needs to be slightly enlarged with a carbide or diamond bit, very carefully, because ceramic cracks easily, esp. where the hole is. Then superglue it in, and epoxy it from the back. Reinstall. Use a 10x loupe to get it right. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
