How long is power reserve on ROO

Just bought Las Vegas from toro. Im testing it out and wore it for the whole day and when I woke up this morning it had already stopped. Is it normal?

Depends on movement in it and if it is a chronograph, if the chrono was running. The internal resistance of the new Asian copies of ETA movement is sometimes high enough that they have very short power reserve. I usually wind a new watch appropriately tight and letl is run overnight and then continue for several days. This lets me know how well it performs in general and also tends to loosen them up enough that the PR increases somewhat.

 

I have discovered several 21j movements that have so much internal resistance that they will not run at all UNTIL wound fully and then turned from side to side and up and down to find the point of least resistance. Then i let it run in this position for several days, which frequently loosens the movement enough that it runs on my wrist.

Power reserve on A7750's can vary quite a bit. Using the chrono function will have an effect on the power reserve. Also a new movement often needs time "to break in".

To make sure it's fully wound, gently handwind the movement for 35 turns and the wear the watch....keep the use of the chrono function to a minimum. Wear the watch for a few days....and see if that makes a difference for the power reserve.

 

My AP ROO Safari has a power reserve of 50 hours.

On a serious note - sure, need to wind mov't manually, about 40-50 turns of crown, and then you'll see, how long it will work.

I think hand winding a asian 7750 is a bad idea. I would recommend holding the watch by the strap or bracelet inverted and flicking it in a semi circular motion until it spooges all over you. JK. Seriously to get it started that is the best way winding is not my first choice with a 7750 it puts undue stress on the movement.

Yep - IMO if I need to HANDWIND my A7750, to make it run for at least 24 hours, then it's fucked up! My 7750s never needed any handwinding, only regular wear and had a power reserve of at least 35-40 hours, probably more.

Problem fixed. The movement needs time to break in. Also handwinding seems to work.

If your ROO has a 7750-based movement you can wind it but the usual advice is to be very careful with winding.

 

Wearing an automatic watch should be enough to keep it wound.
