6152 with cortebert 616 resurrection

Got a very nice watch project on a good opportunity a few weeks ago.

Owner tried to swap the movement but failed.

Stem was too long (impossible to set time, cause crown touched the cg),

"movement holding ring" was terrible and did not hold the movement in place, hands were brand-new, lume didn't match the markers,

engraving said 8152 instead of 6152, plexi from the highdome caseback was poorly glued and fell apart...

With the help of my mate we managed to solve all the issues and got the watch working flawlessly.

Joe machined a perfect fitting movement ring that makes the screws unnecessary.

We relumed and aged the hands, glued the plexi properly, changed the engraving etc....

...finally to the pics: :P

Frank,

This is simply stunning and a real artistic build achievement!!! Al the components have their own unique voice, adding up to a beautiful and subtle overall build. The blue lume is a killer touch, and I for one, am truly jealous!!!

Congrats on another fine piece, friend....

Same here but I guess it's like an old vintage beat up Stratocaster or Telecaster. They make em from the factory that way because their so sought after
