These won't be done until after the Holidays, still have decisions to make about the dials, straps, etc... though I think I have it mostly worked out....

Anyway, here they are after the bezel/crown/cg/caseback swaps:

The mini-fiddy style case is one of the reasons I like my 233 so much. Gotta get me a proper mini fiddy one of these days though.

How do you remove the bezel from a pam case?

The bezel has a lip in the inside of the case - if you support the case with a movement holder so that the bezel is free to drop down, you can place a small punch on that lip and tap gently with a hammer and it will come out. Getting it back in is harder - but I have found that using the crystal press works best. Also, I pull the crystals first, then put them back in last....

I have often wondered about the water ingress protection due to the separate bezel and case pieces. Can you confirm if there is any sealant/glue in there to keep the water out?

There is usually a rubber O ring under the bezel

Sconey - Jackson Tse sells the mini fiddy case. You need to be careful with the crystal, though - they are, apparently, easy to crack when assembling the watch.

My fist one broke but in the middle of the night. I think the exploding crystal problem is a spontaneous one - it doesn't require that you stress the crystal, it just happens one day if that cystal happens to have a flaw.

Ouch - that's unfortunate. Shame there isn't a sapphire option...

Hmm...I've got a spare sapphire for a 47mm that I bought from Davidsen when my son killed my fiddy.

He sent me a spare, but it's pretty ordinary...distorts the dial, and needs an ar treatment badly.

Still....it's kept my fiddy in form....so no major complaint there.

Would love to find a watch press and some tutes on crystal removal & fitting....

I would write one but I suspect my technique is not the correct one...

Also, I have only done crystals with compression rings so far - can't do a proper tutorial without the other kind (no ring) too...
