when repressing the crystal ... be careful not to press to hard as u well not have the raised bevel height showing !! and also note which side the ar is one so place some tape on the out side so u know which is which when re pressing the crystal

Zorro, are you saying your watch arrived scratched like that from one of our trusted dealers?

if so, that's a really poor show

yes but did not see it was under the cling wrap never noticed it until i removed the rap!!.... but i don't mind as it gave me a chance to have a little look around again at the V3 ... and adjust the recess hex screws !!

Still, that's pretty damn poor for an expensive rep from a trusted dealer! Great repair job on your part though.

Nice job - there was one scratch at the 50 marker in the photos that looked a lot deeper, almost black, was it deep or just the way it looked in the photo? If deep it would take a lot of 1000g rubbing!

@ jeff cheers .. waiting still my friend ...

slightly finer then my other v3 diver but its a hard call unless they are side by side .... and for the strokes .. its the angle of the pic ...they were done with a straight edge .. not free hand strokes !! side by side

also just a quick .. update on the case back to bring close to the gen more sparkle !!

@b Yes bob strikes again :giggle: ....@hun just wet & dry paper .. as I mentioned on my thread 1000grit paper .. but Ive changed the coarseness of the paper now start with 400 grit and finish off with 600grit ..as the finer the grit more prone and easier to scratch the bezel !!
