mr-z 0 Posted June 17, 2012 my diver out of the wrapping ...... scratched !! so here a quick DIY I done a few days ago .... very easy 30min job .... before bezel refurbishment you can see all the scratches !! Follow MIkeOO step by step tutorial!! V3 Diver unassembled refurnish bezel ...perfectly to the original 1000grit wet and dry paper!! when repressing the crystal ... be careful not to press to hard as u well not have the raised bevel height showing !! and also note which side the ar is one so place some tape on the out side so u know which is which when re pressing the crystal reassembled and back to the show room finish !! and finally the wristies shots .... Bang ... scratches ALL gone Enjoy

g.man 0 Posted June 17, 2012 Still, that's pretty damn poor for an expensive rep from a trusted dealer! Great repair job on your part though. +1 g.man

scorpion 0 Posted June 17, 2012 Nice job - there was one scratch at the 50 marker in the photos that looked a lot deeper, almost black, was it deep or just the way it looked in the photo? If deep it would take a lot of 1000g rubbing!
jacobarch 0 Posted June 17, 2012 What dealer did you get it from?

mr-z 0 Posted June 17, 2012 @ Scorpio nope that was just reflection not a deep scratch that would need a new bezel if it was lol

mr-z 0 Posted June 17, 2012 @ jeff cheers .. waiting still my friend ... slightly finer then my other v3 diver but its a hard call unless they are side by side .... and for the strokes .. its the angle of the pic ...they were done with a straight edge .. not free hand strokes !! side by side also just a quick .. update on the case back to bring close to the gen more sparkle !! nunu78 1,743 Posted September 23, 2012 Great job, how did u manage to take the scratches out, I mean what do you used?
mr-z 0 Posted September 23, 2012 @b Yes bob strikes again ....@hun just wet & dry paper .. as I mentioned on my thread 1000grit paper .. but Ive changed the coarseness of the paper now start with 400 grit and finish off with 600grit ..as the finer the grit more prone and easier to scratch the bezel !!
