Breitling clasp needs tightened - anyone done this?

Recommended Posts

The clasp on my new Skyland Black Steel needs tightened - it's the Professional bracelet with the saftey catch like so (except it's PVD):-

When you lift the safety catch (the bit with the logo) the main clasp falls open - it doesn't "snap" shut like it should do. Toro has told me that you can tighten this yourself by squeezing the inside of the clasp mechanism together but before I try this, has anyone done this?

I've never had to tighten any of my Breitling bracelets before so this is a new one to me.

All advice appreciated! :thumbsup2:

I don't know how it's assembled, but if it has same clasp as Omega, then it's simple matter of using tweezers and squezzing the clasp together, the ''wires'' inside, to make it firmer.

I did that on my SMP, but I don't know how it works on Breit :)

Use tape or material of some sort between the pliers and the clasp to prevent damage and do not over-do it. Good luck. Looks like a great bracelet.

I think this one has a similar mechanism to the deployant, am I correct Del?

If so, the main clasp snaps closed due to a little lip being forced into a slot in the connecting piece.

These pics show the parts I mean...

If I'm correct then just wee bend should make it klik once again.

If I'm wrong, well that'll be nothing new. :D
