Which Datograph?

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I've decided that I can't resist buying a Lange anymore...this watch is just too damn beautiful. Now here's the hard part: I've been staring at these 3 same bloody pictures (found on the forum) for days on end and I can't make up my mind: SS/black dial, SS/white dial, or RG/white dial. Since I can't decide, tell me which one you think is best!

all gorgeous... no way to lose.. but if I had to choose only one.. it would be the RG with the white dial...it is a classic dress watch and that combo fits the classic look best IMHO

I wish that I could wear a dress watch. Just too uncomfortable for me.

Personally, the RG/White dial is out for me. Just not my thing.

So either SS/White or SS/Black. I'd probably go with the black as most of my collection are black dialed. Never planned it to happen that way, but it did.

Could just buy all three, just sayin'

I'm at the point where I've seriously considered it...

I like the white face but it would look better on a brown strap. The black dial is very nice and is broken up nicely with the subdials. I think if your fear is getting another ss/black dial watch it's unjustified in this case. All very classy.

Also, why isn't this a poll?

Umpa, you've stated my fears exactly - virtually my entire collection is SS/black so I wanted to mix it up a bit. But I agree this one just has something different about it.

As for why this is not a poll...well there's a simple answer. I had no clue how to make one!

I typically don't go for these types of watches but the RG/white looks pretty good.

I have RG and really like it. The 'Venus' HW mov't works great too. I'd pick the back Panda second.

1) RG white dial

2) SS white dial

3) Black dial

And that concludes the voting of the Luxembourg jury

Just to tell you, the SS black dial rep does not have the silver subdials. I dont know why. But the black dial datograph is still my favorite.

All of them are superb.

Guess it depends on how dressy you want the watch to be.

RG-White for the classic old money look.

SS-White for the timeless look.

SS-Black for the classy understated sports any occasion look. ^^

I'd go with #1 or #3.

Having the same quandry on this very watch, i'm leaning towards the RG white face for a nice dress watch.

1. RG white dial

2. SS white dial

I wouldn't even consider the black dial version - not in the same league IMHO.
