10:10 Watch Repair 1 Posted December 1, 2009 So I have been messing with a few dials and movements lately and after baking, smoking, scratching, painting, etc. I discovered the easy vintage. I pulled a dial out of the oven that was sitting on some aluminum foil, I can't remember why, but I lightly rubbed the face with the foil and voila, cool vintage effect. It seems to burnish the surface while at the same time depositing a bit of the foil. Will post pics tomorrow.

10:10 Watch Repair 1 Posted December 1, 2009 Here's a more extreme vintage. It's pretty easy to control, the foil can be rubbed back off with a polishing cloth and the dial returns to it's original state.
