watchman12345 0 Posted August 22, 2012 I recently got a rep Omega PO with Asian clone 2836 movement. It runs well and keeps good time however there is a small issue. As you know there are 3 stem positions, wind-date-time set. When unscrewing the crown and pulling out the stem the 3 positions are OK and correct. However when pushing the stem back in after setting the time it sometimes stays in the time set position and takes some in and out motions and general messing to get it back to the position where I can screw back the crown. Is this a problem you have encountered on a 2824/2836 before? Is there a solution or maybe I need to send the watch to a watchsmith? I'm not going to send it back to China it's too much hassle. Luthier 1 Posted August 22, 2012 Common issue, and it's not the movement's problem, I think the stem is lil bit too short. After setting the time, I usually press crown to "screwing in" position.
dalboy 2 Posted August 22, 2012 Commonplace most of em have short stems !! can't tell you why. Not a movement issue, just one of those things i'm afraid you will have to put up with . unless of course you send it to one of the mods .. Dal............. + 1000 to Luth ..
