I'm almost tempted to buy a vintage sea dweller in the hope that it does the same for me..... It will be money well spent. Just don't wear it more than one or two days a week! It could get habit forming.

KBH 7 Posted December 16, 2009 re: the vintage rolexes, are there any really good ones out there out of the box? (n00b question alert lol) Check out Josh's new ones. The A21 models are a steal at $98. You still need to do a little work to make them believable. At a minimum you need to bleach out the insert and beat it up a little bit but none of the vintage ones look all that great out of the box. They all look too new. Yes, I agree, those new ones on Josh's site are a bargain. If I didn't have a Sub and an SD already I'd have ordered one by now. I've just cracked open a beer so chin chin, old boy, and congratulations on some nicely judged bezel bleaching.
Member X 91 Posted December 17, 2009 Cool, thanks for the heads up I'm guessing that the vintage models are accurate with the slower sweep too? I recall we had this discussion before but there's so many different models... lol
KBH 7 Posted December 17, 2009 Cool, thanks for the heads up I'm guessing that the vintage models are accurate with the slower sweep too? I recall we had this discussion before but there's so many different models... lol Funny you should mention that. Leave it to the assholes that assemble these watches. When you want them to put in a slow beat movement for accuracy, they even fuck that up. The 21j movements used in Josh's watches are supposedly the new 2813 hi-beat movements.
