Women's watches

Recommended Posts

AllergyDoc

As we may now have, or someday might, female members, I thought we should have a woman's watch thread.

Most of these pictures are old. I need to take some shots of her new ones.

Cartier. She likes this one and wore it often at first. Now she seldom wears it as she has grown fond of the men's watches I've been buying for her. I don't remember who I bought it from.

Black Chanel. $57 from iOffer. She wears it weekly.

ChanelPenny.jpg

Franck Muller Long Island. She wears this often, when a red watch is appropriate. About $100 from Andrew.

It had a flaw: a speck of dust on the dial.

FMspeck.jpg

Black Rolex Sub on black leather strap. Only worn occasionally (after I remind her how much I like to see her wear it).

I made her take this pic on SS bracelet:

Invicta quartz diving watch. Rarely worn now.

PensInvictablue2.jpg

Patek. Occasionally worn when a green band is in order.

PensPatek.jpg

Her Rolex DJ from Idealwatches. $1,000, before I knew better. I very nice watch, though, and she's worn it a ton. It was her everyday watch for over a year. Very impressive on the wrist. Relatives are very envious.

The gold is wearing out.

PensRolClaspWorn.jpg

SS Rolex DJ from Amatory.biz. Runs like a tank and gets a lot of wear.

PensRolPlatMOP.jpg

Rolex DJ tri-gold. Amatory.biz. Looks great but a tiny screw fell out and got lost 1+ years ago and I forget to source another from Josh or Andrew when I order, so it sits in the watch drawer.

PensRolTrigold-copy.jpg

A TAG. The CZ's are so small and flat, they look rediculous.

Rolex YM. Not a good copy but gets a lot of wrist time.

Zenith. Man's watch. Rarely worn.

PensZenith.jpg

Poor group shot.

I tried to get my wife wearing mens watches, but she even found my Rollie day/date too big for her tastes, so it's back to women's watches.

I bought her this as a little 'extra' gift for Xmas:

She also has a gen Weil Don Giovanni, a Tissot 'Wood Watch', a rep Chanel, and one of those Charles Rennie Macintosh 'homage' things (which she loves). You can see the latter two in the watchbox thread I posted recently - I must try to get some decent photos of 'em at some point, though.

Nice Doc.

One Christmas I bought a nice DateJust rep for my wife who is extremely hard on watches as she wears them sloppy loose. She had gone through a pile of mid price genuines; Seikos, Omegas, my mother's old stuff, blah, and bought the rep as a hoot. I figured if she beat the crap out of it? So what?

Driving to Orlando we passed a Mayors Jeweler billboard that had the exact Rolex gen on it. I said; "There you go!" Her; "What's that? Like $7000 ?!", "No you get the replica." "Why? So I can be a poseur [sic] like you?" Oh. OK then.

I emailed Joshua and changed the order to a PO Chrono for me. Here's my contribution to the "Ladies Watch Thread" :o

I got her a toaster instead. Genuine Cuisinart.

too bad for me, but my girlfriend will not wear a rep.

i'm sure she would never know the difference. like most women, she's clueless about

automatic watches. they can never seem to get beyond the screw down crown!

they do have other talents- like reading your mind without even looking at you.

here's her collection- i really like the La Dona on the right by cartier

Coolio, guys.

Dems: she deserved the toaster, and you the watch. You won again!

Noel: your gf has all gens? There's a mistaken priority there.

Greg: Cartiers look fabulous on the women!

Onze: could you please send that watch here? My wife wants it. Oke?

AD- don't feel bad, me too! you know i did alot of business with James from Bestswiss

and Ideal. Honestly- they are still some of my best reps. most i guess were TW best and run great.

i never had too many problems with those watches- except the $$. i'm pretty sure i got a real Valjoux 7750 for

my Daytona back then.

Worth a 20-25% mark up on any CN model at least. A genuine Valjoux 7750 was worth about $600 before they sold out to ETA.

LOL! I seem to recall cracking that one myself not so long ago.

Nope. I got my watches in less than a month and TTK kept me informed every step of the way. I found him really easy to do business with - friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.

Only 3 times. :D

But I was getting 27 jewels watches, 904L steel, solid gold, blah, blah.

What I was really getting was my back door widened. :gunbandana:
