Magic 0 Posted September 3, 2012 Hi all... Im new here. I am wanting to buy an IWC watch and have spent much of the morning looking through the trusted seller lists. Anyone reccomend the best place to buy an IWC watch. I am in the UK and have already sent AsiaKrono a message but not had any reply yet. Anyone on here bought an IWC at all? where from if so? Cyril_Clunge 0 Posted September 3, 2012 Hello welcome to RWG Have a look at the dealer feedback and decide which dealer(s) you feel like buying from, then, when you've done that, best bet is to send the dealer a pic of the watch you want and ask what versions are available at what price. Take some time to research the Portuguese, there are issues with the A7750 movement which is the reason the only quartz watch I have is my Portuguese. graman 2 Posted September 3, 2012 I've got a Big Pilot, a 3717, a Spitfire laureus and a Fantasy Pilots watch, which sits in a Portuguese case. Had an ingy, but it died (really want one again) and a 2007 Cousteau, which also died (going to go for one of these again too) Oh...also have a 21J ingy...a bit of a franken, which is a fun thing to wear.....with a chocolate dial... I...............Like.............IWC......That's pretty well it, really..... You'll need to search hard for a quartz Portuguese.... Big Pilot from Robert (rip) The 3717 and the vintage pilot came from Marvellous replica The others came from another dealer...I'd likely not use them again....2 baddies in a row. The Seconds at 6 A7750 has an extra plate in it, with 11 (I think) more gears in it. It creates too much drag on the mechanism, and kills it without warning. There are a few tried fixes, but they're expensive, and not really reliable. Best go for a quartz....You'll end up better off. Cyril, that is awesome!
