Daytona 6263: needs a new stem?

Recommended Posts

So....i love my 6263

DSCF6143.jpg

Overall, this piece has a nice quality and vintage feel scarily close to the gen...

when I wind the watch, it will sometime skip (slip?) but if I pull just a little with the right tension, it seems to work well.

24 turns (more like 30 and a bit), the main spring wont take anymore turn so I assume its full.

the watch works nicely and keeps great time...

But how long can I get away with this "tensed winding" before the stem gives out or do I need to replace the stem as soon as possible?
