KBH 7 Posted January 4, 2010 I bought this one for $22 + freight just for the nice nickel plated Eta 2846 inside. I planned on using it in my Rolex 1665 Great White. But, after it arrived I couldn't bear to ruin it. It's like a baby brother to my Rolex Franken. My wife and I can now go out as twins.
offshore 0 Posted January 5, 2010 Gee, It could handle a redial! That would be different, turning a gen into a rep! B) O/S
AllergyDoc 40 Posted January 5, 2010 "Tugaris"? Couldn't they have found a nicer name?
KBH 7 Posted January 5, 2010 Doc, you've never heard of a Tugaris??? Well, neither have I. But it does look just a a Rolex from 10 feet. And it looks like a Rolex mid size dial might just fit it. Hmmm.
AllergyDoc 40 Posted January 5, 2010 It is a sharp-looking watch. And a bargain.
trailboss99 996 Posted January 5, 2010 You got a deal there. Nice as is but a nice MOP redial would zing it up a bit. I knda like the idea of turning a gen into a rep B) Col.

mspangl 0 Posted December 1, 2010 isnt the gen eta more worth than 22 $ ?
KBH 7 Posted December 1, 2010 isnt the gen eta more worth than 22 $ ? That was the whole point. I ended up sending the 2846 to Speedy for a service and put it in a Vintage Sea Dweller. Here's the latest from the Bay for $87. This one with an ETA 2836-2 keeps almost perfect time and I put it on an old TT Jubilees bracelet.
