pcdj 0 Posted October 1, 2012 I've recently been attempting to find a replacement for my replica Uboat Flightdeck 50mm, as it's seen better days with condensation inside the bezel and most recently a broken clasp, and stumbled across this forum. Could anyone advise how one goes about soliciting the services of one of the trusted dealers to obtain a replacement? Should I simply pick one and post in the relevant forum or message one of them directly or otherwise? Are there specific dealers that specialise in Uboat models? Thanks! onionbag 1 Posted October 1, 2012 Hello and welcome. I'm glad I have Hadrian's Wall between me and your Uboat..............hang on, U-Boats swim or something so that might not work.....I'm a bit fuzzy on the details...........I know, I'll ask Steelfish, he'll know. pcdj 0 Posted October 1, 2012 Haha! Good to see it's business with a bit of added humour on here. Would you mind elaborating a bit on your homework comment Del? Are we talking movement type, quality of build, or something specific to the trusted dealer feedback/reputation that I should be looking out for?

UmpaHimself 223 Posted October 2, 2012 Homework = research. Do as much as you need to feel comfortable with your purchase. You can check my signature for info on movements. This is not an overnight type thing. You have to find your dealer, send them a picture of the watch you want, pay, then they have to source it which can take a day or a month, then Quality Control pictures, shipping time and customs. I would expect at least a month from the time you place your order to arrival. Also, If you stay long enough your taste will inevitably change so you might want to check the wristshot threads and read some watch reviews before deciding to make your first purchase.
