All these watches are for old men!

Haha, hi.

Don't get all defensive, the title is only an icebreaker. I have a question related to though; what types of watches would a 19 year old wear? It would seem weird to bust out a rolex while at the local McD's (not that i eat there, but you get the point). What would you recommend I check out at my age? My only preferences is it's not rainbow-flashy colourful, and that it is not too, too chunky.

Advice?

Definitely an Omega Speedmaster, or a Seamaster 300m. Or a Seamaster Planet Ocean. They're technically "sports" watches, so younger people like you and I can pull them off without seeming overbearing. And although you mention it might seem weird to bust out a Rolex at a McDonalds or some other casual location, I wouldn't be mad at you if I saw a Rolex Explorer or Milgauss on your wrist.

This is just the job for a 'thrusting' young up and comer. I give you 'Emporio' Armani.....................it's a good un fer you.

I bought this for a 16 year old........but you can carry it off.

The bonus is, all the burger flippers you meet will be wearing one........ye'll fit right in. ;)

Well you clearly like watches, otherwise you wouldn't be here now would you?

Just do what I do, have a good look round till you find something that you think looks nice.

Not all Rolexs are aimed at millionair buisness type men you know :)

The Submarinar and Deep sea diver seem to be popular amongst yonger people, I'm 25 and currently have my eye on a white Explorer II or an omega seamaster.. undecided yet.. might end up getting both but will have to be after christmas now..

It it totally for real! I picked it up Beijing for the staggering sum of 5 rmb --- at today's rates.. that is 79 cents... although I did give it a red strap when I got home... the black plasticy one did not do it justice! (Damn red strap cost me about $5.... over six times the cost of the watch! )

I see you are a devotee of Mao, Nisv. That is a direct quote from him when he saw this young lady. ;)

10:10 Watch Repair

check out Hamilton, that was one of my first real watches. A good selection of watches that suit a young watch lover.

Why can't more wristwatches be made like this?

Good find :thumbsup2:
