Omega Seamaster Chronometer snapback issue

Recommended Posts

briantyk

Hello, I purchased this fine time piece from AsiaKrono.com and it has been serving me very well for the past year. Recently I dropped my watch and now the snapback will not stay clamped. It will close but when I move my arm around the watch will come loose. The clamps inside the hole look fine and I can press the release buttons but I don't hear the usual "click" noise when I press the snapback in. Is this issue beyond my ability to fix? I have little to no knowledge about fixing watches. I realize this is a replica watch but I want to do as much as I can to save it.

The snapback? This watch has a screw back. Do you mean the clasp?

Have you checked that the divers extension is properly put in place, if not it can cause the problem.

Happens all the time to me. Try bending the wrist-side fold over piece(s) of the clasp in either direction (depending on which direction holds it fast). The bend's got to be very slight. think in terms of micrometers.
