226600b 0 Posted October 14, 2012 (edited) Wow! Thanks everyone for your great feedback. I knew when I asked this question it may have led to this problem. "I want more than one PAM! But I think the 111 n v3 will be first, manual handwinding movement. I love the display case back. Any suggestions for the best dealer for this one? I ordered my sub c from WI. And which movement is most reliable? Thanks Edited October 14, 2012 by 226600b
226600b 0 Posted October 14, 2012 Yes- most popular 'entry' model I would say is the 111. Try to get the new V3 from the 'Noob' Factory. I also really like the 005, very similiar but slightly different dials and closed caseback.. Anyway, if you start getting hooked, you'll end up with a lot of different ones. Most of us have 111 or 005, a Submersible, a GMT,1950 case model, a chrono, and a Radiomir model. That's a good start! Thanks for the great info. I am gonna order the 111 n v3. Any suggestions for a good rep for this one and which movement? Thanks.
Frazzle 5 Posted October 14, 2012 I think you've answered your own question! The rep you want is the 111N V3 from noob factory. Contact Toro! He'll sort you out and it'll come on a half decent strap too!
DFH 0 Posted October 14, 2012 First and introductory PAM should always be the 005 or 111, IMHO.....
greg_r 101 Posted October 14, 2012 There are two iconic Panerai models. The PAM 127 (Fiddy) and the 111. All the rest are secondary. They are similar designs, but the 111 is smaller (44mm vs 47mm). Both handwind, both classic luminors. This is one of my 127s This is a 111:

Buddhabar 5,083 Posted October 15, 2012 (edited) As Pam Pam 177 I suggest a Noo factory by WI. Here are some photos. Edited September 9, 2013 by Buddhabar
ALE7575 24 Posted October 15, 2012 For a first PAM the best choice would be PAM 111 V3 from Noob They are good too: 005, 000, 127 ALE Read RWI PAM GUIDE "Reference PAM REVIEW-GUIDE" - Replica Search, Identification, Evaluation & Selection http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/reference-pam-review-107365.html?t=107365
mysterio 18 Posted October 15, 2012 (edited) The best iconic PAM rep currently would be the PAM111 Noob V3 (44mm), although the PAM000 (44mm), PAM005 (44mm) and PAM127 (47mm) are in super -rep class already. If you are into Subs, then the PAM243 Noob V2 (44mm) is the latest and the greatest. Edited October 15, 2012 by mysterio
arancini 0 Posted October 15, 2012 I'm of a similar mind to those that say the PAM 111 and the PAM 127 are "the" watches for many Paneristi. Both iconic. Both gorgeous. And both that have a Super Rep. version on the market. PAM 111 V3 noob and PAM 127 N Best are about the best Reps. going around of both models.
burg650 0 Posted October 16, 2012 (edited) PA110716v2 by Bjorn Dajoak, on Flickr This has to me the most exquisite Pan I have seen, and the photo is awesome as well. I want one just like this, where can I buy it. Edited October 16, 2012 by burg650
bbb 0 Posted October 17, 2012 what do you think is better del, 005 or 111 seeing as you have owned both or was yours a
moredhel 0 Posted October 17, 2012 Pam 111 and Pam 243 for me. Radiomir 380 for my girly wrists
jozobo 0 Posted October 17, 2012 (edited) Was giving up finding a 100$ pam 127, so in frustration just go for the pam127 n factory best version. Then read about the crystal issue thingie. Maybe the fascination with the 47mm pam goes over by the time the crystal issue is fixed. Edited October 17, 2012 by jozobo

MarkA 1 Posted November 2, 2012 111 from Toro. Don't forget, he asked for the 'iconic' PAM, not the one that you happen to prefer. The 111 is it. End of.
Deesa 0 Posted November 2, 2012 I have to say the 111N V3. But I think the 305 is a good one to, if you´re into submersibles and big watches.
