JohnPilot 1 Posted October 16, 2012 I love this great watch, saw it in Zurich last week. Does anybody know if there exists a rep? Didn't find any. Who can help? :help3:

ALE7575 24 Posted October 16, 2012 This watch is my sig (a little Photoshoped) Unfortunately there are no good reps only low grade ones ALE
Axisbogner 0 Posted October 25, 2012 Available at trusty time but does not have engraved 'panerai' on face as gen. Obvious flaw. don't like plexiglass on gen though. High maintenance and will scratch too easily. Sapphire is just so much more trouble free.
JohnPilot 1 Posted October 25, 2012 Ok. Thank you. I will nevertheless have a look at his site.
James. 4 Posted October 25, 2012 dont bother with the gen, it's a "limited" edition run of 3500, and there is nothing redeemable about the watch itself to begin with in terms of collectability, no pig, no logo, no signatures etc IMO, and I'll be putting this theory into practice shortly, go with an early model, not a pre vendome, they're upwards of $20k entry level these days, but the 1st and 2nd releases "la bomba" 64's and 87's would be my personal preference of the subby range The reps 372;s are way waaaaaaaaay off. I was about to pull the trigger a few months ago and the inaccuracy of the printing on the dial is just horrible

spboudart 0 Posted October 26, 2012 Wrong case on the rep and that's the most important flaw. The gen 372 has a specific case, the rep is using a basic 47mm '1950' case.

Crown guard got brushed instead of polished and he lowered the hands.
arancini 0 Posted October 26, 2012 (edited) Just my two cents worth, but I'll take a Noob PAM 127 Rep over this every day of the week. Edited October 27, 2012 by arancini
Axisbogner 0 Posted October 27, 2012 speaking of 127, do you believe that the crystal distortion will be fixed when stock comes back? For 372, need to set reasonable expectations. Movement will never be accurate. Rep Case actually looks good to me. Apparently it's stamped on sides per gen, but isn't visible in photos. The plexiglas and engraved face are so distinctive on gen, I hope those two issues would be tacked first.

Axisbogner 0 Posted October 28, 2012 Thanks Ale. Here's a comparison photo of 372 case (top) and 127 case (bottom)
BigBuys 0 Posted November 2, 2012 It looks like an overall thinner case. Even the lugs are slimmer looking. The shape of the case add clearance to the crown for fat fingers, like mine. I do not recall your comments on the crystal but it looks like much less dome.
