deju 1,889 Posted December 22, 2013 Wow, look at this! http://www.tswatchltd.com/14890-pa14890-pam372-n-1-1-ss-lt-p3000-working-3-days-power-reserve.html Just saw the 'super clone' p3000 on Toros site... Looks awesome!
ALE7575 24 Posted December 22, 2013 (edited) It is a clone movement not 100% replicated and most likely based in another existent movement Balance Wheel position is the same as gen and overall accuracy is quite acceptable. Much more than current decorated movements. Besides it is fitted with double barrel to get 72hrs. of Power Reserve (following indications from maker) See below pic There are many things to improve but it seems a new step in the right direction - The watch-base is the old version from Puretime released on June 2013. With the same pros and cons - Jewels and screws are not all placed in the same positions - Screw are rounded instead of flat - Gear train are no visible like in gen - Bridges have some differences of shape - Canon pinion is much smaller - Bridges inscriptions are inaccurate regarding fonts and size. - Balance Wheel double bridge is not completely shape accurate IMO it is a good step,,but it is a pity to spend a lot of money and time making a good approach to a gen movement and to ruin the result with SILLY flaws You will get more info about this replica here: http://www.replica-w...d=1#post1692569 http://www.repgeek.c...ad.php?t=220561 http://www.repgeek.c...ad.php?t=220568 ALE Edited December 22, 2013 by ALE7575
deju 1,889 Posted December 23, 2013 Was just reading the thread on RG about this and the flaws do seem silly, will be waiting for the v3,4,5,6 I guess! Who wants to sell me their V1 cheap? lol
digital_sound 0 Posted December 23, 2013 dont bother with the gen, it's a "limited" edition run of 3500, and there is nothing redeemable about the watch itself to begin with in terms of collectability, no pig, no logo, no signatures etc IMO, and I'll be putting this theory into practice shortly, go with an early model, not a pre vendome, they're upwards of $20k entry level these days, but the 1st and 2nd releases "la bomba" 64's and 87's would be my personal preference of the subby range The reps 372;s are way waaaaaaaaay off. I was about to pull the trigger a few months ago and the inaccuracy of the printing on the dial is just horrible ...and this is I like this forum, the knowledge here is simply priceless, I had no idea the name was ingraved on the dial of the gen - and I was looking the same watch at Trusty Times (also)! simonbolivar 1 Posted December 23, 2013 Well... I liked it until ALE gave us a reality check :-D At this price point, the aesthetics really should be closer to a super rep.
Cheesemonger 0 Posted December 23, 2013 Well... I liked it until ALE gave us a reality check :-D At this price point, the aesthetics really should be closer to a super rep. I know I am newer to this game, but I have to agree with you here.
aceventura 0 Posted December 23, 2013 Thanks ALE great writeup ! I guess we'd better wait a little longer before we pull the trigger on this one then.

mysterio 18 Posted July 27, 2014 I'm hoping my 372 from Andrew looks good. Which one did you get? Andrew leans towards the H-fac offerings.
