Luthier 1 Posted October 31, 2012 Just finished the first rough sketches of the Diver. Evening, couldn't make better pictures, but the idea is quite clear. Case diameter is 44mm, with fins - 47mm. Thickness - 12,9mm with 3mm glass. WR 300 meters. Solid case backs with sculptured dolphin and Earth. Still working on lugs and other details. Opinions and suggestions are very welcome. Personal preference would be for the indicies on the bezel to now be raised too much, but I love the look regardless. like a cross between the RWG chono and a Breitling. An idea, pure fantasy as I dont know the costings, would be for a fixed outer bezel with rotating inner bezel. The inner can be lumed a la V3 AP diver. If this were the case, the outer bezel would be more plain as the indicies would be inside under the glass. Think of it with the current dial in a Hublot 4k diver case. Luthier 1 Posted October 31, 2012 If you're under water, and especially, if you're wearing the gloves, unscrewing the crown of rotating rehaut is much harder task, than rotate outer bezel. Besides, as far, as I know, the mechanism, that rotate rehaut on AP Diver, is made from cheap plastic, and prone to break easily. But I can ask factory, if they're able to make it steel solid. James. 4 Posted October 31, 2012 Or keep the existing style like the drawing below, have this inner bezel rotate and lumed and instead of having markers on the outter bezel, have it fastened to the case with heavy duty looking screws or something, like a port hole.
