Luthier 1 Posted October 31, 2012 Just finished the first rough sketches of the Diver. Evening, couldn't make better pictures, but the idea is quite clear. Case diameter is 44mm, with fins - 47mm. Thickness - 12,9mm with 3mm glass. WR 300 meters. Solid case backs with sculptured dolphin and Earth. Still working on lugs and other details. Opinions and suggestions are very welcome. aututto 0 Posted October 31, 2012 Want. Want want want. I need to expand my watch desires past dive watches..... But they're just sooo HAWT. Makes me think of an angry SOSF...... THEREFORE I WANT!
DKaiser Söze 0 Posted October 31, 2012 This looks VERY familiar to me. Especially like the dolphin on the caseback. Nice work Luth!

James. 4 Posted October 31, 2012 Stunning. Personal preference would be for the indicies on the bezel to now be raised too much, but I love the look regardless. like a cross between the RWG chono and a Breitling. An idea, pure fantasy as I dont know the costings, would be for a fixed outer bezel with rotating inner bezel. The inner can be lumed a la V3 AP diver. If this were the case, the outer bezel would be more plain as the indicies would be inside under the glass. Think of it with the current dial in a Hublot 4k diver case. Its a style rolex hasn't forayed into yet, maybe it can even be looked at in that similar style? Meh, ideas ideas ideas
Luthier 1 Posted October 31, 2012 If you're under water, and especially, if you're wearing the gloves, unscrewing the crown of rotating rehaut is much harder task, than rotate outer bezel. Besides, as far, as I know, the mechanism, that rotate rehaut on AP Diver, is made from cheap plastic, and prone to break easily. But I can ask factory, if they're able to make it steel solid. James. 4 Posted October 31, 2012 Or keep the existing style like the drawing below, have this inner bezel rotate and lumed and instead of having markers on the outter bezel, have it fastened to the case with heavy duty looking screws or something, like a port hole. Luthier 1 Posted October 31, 2012 It will be Invicta then... I know, it's a Divers watch, but I'm sure many people would like to have elegant Diver, to wear on the daily basis.

James. 4 Posted October 31, 2012 As a consideration, ever think about having a lug-less case?
Luthier 1 Posted October 31, 2012 No. Never seen even one good watch with lugless case.
P4GTR 0 Posted October 31, 2012 Very cool seeing the production come together. Made me think of Poseidon for some reason. as far, as I know, the mechanism, that rotate rehaut on AP Diver, is made from cheap plastic, and prone to break easily. Surely you don't mean the V3? The thing is a beast. Metal gears & ball bearings. Please tell me these are not going to be falling apart..
James. 4 Posted October 31, 2012 Ok, I retract the lug-less case idea :P I agree, just spit-ballin' here. What about..... if the crown is at the 1-2 or 4-5 position?
UmpaHimself 222 Posted October 31, 2012 Would love to se a rendering in the future. Nice work Luth.
hnic 1 Posted October 31, 2012 oh yes this looks like one for me! nice wonder what this will look like in a couple of months
Luthier 1 Posted October 31, 2012 Ask Sol for rendering. Collective PMs would help. Surely you don't mean the V3? The thing is a beast. Metal gears & ball bearings. Please tell me these are not going to be falling apart.. Did you look on the stem? Not sure in V3 case, but I definitely remember the post, claiming (with pics), that this mechanism was made from cheap, easy breakable white plastic.
Mystery Shopper 5,887 Posted October 31, 2012 Seawolf meets SOSF meets RWG. I like it, especially the way design features from the original RWG watch are carried through. Any ideas on dial colors? The Seawolf in grey looks stunning. Would any marketing gurus recommend 'Super Dolphin'?
