BigBuys 0 Posted October 31, 2012 When I wanted an ever day ROO that could be appreciated but not be overly concerned about daily use, I chose to put together a Black Themes quartz with Donerix's Hornback strap. It is a combination that everyone knows and appreciates. It is stunning at arm's length or from twenty feet. It just has the look! The cost is several hundred below my more rarely worn ROOs, but believe me, it gets as many stares and comments as anything that I wear. I also have 2 AP quartzes (RG rubber clad and simmilar to the one in your pics, only with silver subdials and "fake" black hornback) and I can say they really are good value.The subdial seconds hand is small enough not to notice the "stutter" at a first glance, the overall look of the dial is pretty good and I think you can say the whole watch does have that significant ROO presence.I only wish there were more good quartz versions available. mykeos 0 Posted October 31, 2012 About a week ago I passed by the AP AD with a buddy of mine and when we stopped to check out the ROOs in the window he suddenly exclaimed: Isn't that "your" watch over there!" It was a RG rubberclad, (quartz) rep of which I was wearing that day. This is just one example that brings out the fact that most"tells" or "flaws" that,by our standard,put high and low end reps galaxies apart, easily pass unnoticed to the layman's eye. I did the same thing with the Quartz Safari ROO on Donerix Wow fatarms! That is even prettier than mine. The Safari has always been a favorite of mine.
