Luthier 1 Posted January 25, 2010 Beauty!!! So clean and elegant! How big is it? I bet less than 43mm...unfortunately. Right?
KinCaidk 0 Posted January 25, 2010 That's a stunning piece, Pix! I am wearing this today: Krug-Baümen Chronomaster. Jameo gave this to me - and I find myself to be wearing it more and more. Thanks Jimmy! Edit: must be saphire as the crystal doens't have a single scratch.. . the case has quite a few and there is some specks on the bead blasted case, that I can't get rid of. Pix 0 Posted January 25, 2010 Thx guys @Luthier : it's 40mm, but wears bigger as there is practically no bezel. So the dial makes it look almost large, especially in white.
Member X 91 Posted January 25, 2010 Thx guys ^_^@Luthier : it's 40mm, but wears bigger as there is practically no bezel. So the dial makes it look almost large, especially in white. Have you had the graphite treatment done on the movement? I'm wearing this today: Currently on a brown stingray strap but think I'm going to swap it for the original item you can see in the pic. It's a shame that it's a bit plasticky but the stingray is a bit dressy for day to day! I just want a nice soft strap for it but fear it will cost £££ for a good one! Pix 0 Posted January 25, 2010 Sure I had, with complete servicing, there's unfortunately no other way. Brushed the caseback too. BTW it had to be done twice, that means that it's not a 100% solution and even good watchsmithes can be reluctant at doing the mod. There is a quartz version around, which solves the problem and which is 42mm (so it might solve Luthier's problem). It's pretty good, but does not have the same elegance as the 7750 version IMO. Especially the crystal is having this terrible loupe effect when looked from a certain angle (like on a PAM) They designed movements with seconds@12, the rep manufacturers could probably fix this seconds@6 flaw. Question of demand. And probably of phasing out current stocks of crappy movements...
Member X 91 Posted January 25, 2010 Have you spoken to Avitt on RWG2? He's been DLCing the movement plates that the cogs rest on, meaning that movement drag is decreased, especially when combined with the graphite mod. Apparently each wheel spins with just an air puffer so hopefully it's a good long term fix! If I could afford one, I'd get one and have it done :lmao:

Silverspeed 10 Posted January 25, 2010 PIX your Panda Portuguese is stunning :lmao: did you get an AR coating in it? for me today the
Pix 0 Posted January 25, 2010 @Member X : yes I saw that is possible. But Avitt mainly works for himself, which I respect. He does not business with his DLC really. The other point is the price, far more than a graphite treatment. The ultimate mod could have been a gen movement (Concepta) for 750 USd + installation. But that makes the rep over 1000 USD, and I refuse to put more than 4 to 500 in a rep. @ SilverSpeed : yes, Chief's one, one of my last with him as I'm now using FineDD. Even on white dials AR makes the dial further better looking.

Silverspeed 10 Posted January 25, 2010 Thnx PIX. I was searching for FineDD the other day...but couldn't find any info. FineDD operates from the EU? Do you have more info....?

You need to change the height of the case. Taka has this problem since 9 month now, he got Conceptas movement in his case but he cannot adjust the watch. He just sent his case to our friend and he will try to modify the case

Pix 0 Posted January 25, 2010 @Guru : yes forgot to mention that. It seems the German watchsmith showed this on RWG2. So it's possible. And I remember Concepta was oferring the fully moded thing for around 1200 USD some time ago : I guess that was also through this watchsmith.
