jyatez2k 0 Posted November 4, 2012 I personally love them, i like a big face and a strap as opposed to metal bracelet. Thats my personal style choice. Now i understand that a lot of you hardened watch connoisseurs dont like them, think they are too flashy, too chavvy (uk word, not sure how to translate it elsewhere lol) and lacking class. Whats your opinion? yay or nay to oversized??!!!
Crusader 0 Posted November 4, 2012 It depends on what you consider oversized, Pam 44mm is oversized for my taste I personally like smaller watches, 40-42mm, but thicker, so you still have some wrist presence, but not oversized with 44mm+. The trend of bigger watches is still present, just not for me
jyatez2k 0 Posted November 4, 2012 I must say though i would draw the line at an oversized graham chronofighter, not so much the size, more the amount of gubbins attached to it lol, way too busy imo.

Mystery Shopper 5,887 Posted November 4, 2012 Me too. My thoughts... I am comfortable with watches up to 47mm on my wrist. Some of these are a bit of a push in work shirts at the office. They definately are in fashion atm, it is amazing looking at the (tiny) watches we have worn for the last 20 years & compare to these. The U-Boat is probably too large for work wear, it is more a weekender.
jyatez2k 0 Posted November 4, 2012 some of these are humongous, that oris is huuuge!!
1littlegreen 1 Posted November 4, 2012 The trend is there, and as long as it is, they will keep making them. Have you seen my wrists??? 44mm is the absolute largest size I can wear. If I put Kenny's Oris on I would look like I was wearing the corner clock! So I'll just stick to 44 and below Kev
gtwc 1 Posted November 4, 2012 Love 'em. Perhaps it's due to my failing eyesight - but anything less than 44mm is illegible ! And don't get me started on non-cyclops datewheels !
arancini 0 Posted November 4, 2012 Quantify "oversize". My preference is 44mm but I also like 47mm. Won't go beyond that but for many, that already is too large. Really depends on your wrist and of course, personal taste.
Del 4,469 Posted November 4, 2012 Really depends on your wrist and of course, personal taste. Yes, this is the point. If I wore a Super Avenger everyone would laugh but when you see one on Luthier's wrist it looks like a ladies watch!
BadPickle 2,754 Posted November 4, 2012 Love em!!! I wear a 47mm pam 341 egi every day for work. On a weekend I usually wear a 44mm of some description and it seems very small in comparison, and the DSSD...... A child's watch???!! @scottm... Am lovin that iwc big pilot... That's on the list for sure!!!!

highergame 0 Posted November 4, 2012 as long as it doesn't effect me bending my wrist i have no problem with those sizes at all. I have a 8.25 wrist also as luth does and my pam, and other 45mm watches don't seem to be that big or a problem. I'll take some wrist shots one of these days.
