DR3M3L 6 Posted November 6, 2012 Okay, hopefully i'm not the only one working out ! I was wondering, do you wear a watch while you go to the gym, what kind of watch and what kind of strap? AND Does anyone know a stylish watch with a timer on it, need a timer for some exercises... Don't like those things:
fatarms 7,843 Posted November 6, 2012 Cheap Walmart piece of crap. In case I break it or whatever at the gym, I don't care. Just something with a stopwatch on it for running. That's all I use. My reps wouldn't see the inside of a gym.
thunder92 0 Posted November 6, 2012 gshock for me. Can't remember the model. But its black display. Love it. gd-100 I believe.

Mazz 62 Posted November 6, 2012 I've got a Suunto core but I think the gshock is a better work out watch
Crusader 0 Posted November 6, 2012 1 more vote for G-shock... wide selection of watches, from $40 to $300 in all sorts of colors and sizes. But they can be addictive as much as reps if you get too much into them
Martin72 1 Posted November 6, 2012 That Suunto is very nice I have to say, pity it's not in production but nice to come across something new!

But they can be addictive as much as reps if you get too much into them If i look at some webshops i don't even want to spend money on a g-shock xD It's only because i need a timer in the gym.... I really don't think I will get addicted to g-shock watches :P
DR3M3L 6 Posted November 6, 2012 Just found a Nike watch with TomTom in it :o Never even heard of something like this :P
Corv99 2 Posted November 6, 2012 Suunto is OK, has all the functions you need... and lots you don't!! only thing I would say is the screen is quite dim.. and also the battery life is shit! even when not using all the functionality... I did used to use a cheap heart monitor digital jobbie that was great until the strap snapped! Suunto does look nice though
Crusader 0 Posted November 6, 2012 I really don't think I will get addicted to g-shock watches :P These people said the same thing when they bought their first g-shock... look at them now If you get into watches, you are doomed, there is no other way around. spiltyu 0 Posted November 6, 2012 I used to do some workout in the gym. I was wearing a Polar S725 with the chest belt... It is a bit old though.
imacwalker 0 Posted November 6, 2012 Iv taken to the Suunto watches for outdoor persuits mainly because they seem well built - nice and long straps for my stupidly large wrists and a nice clear display the watch i use for cycling/skiing is this upgraded from i must admit the battery life is shocking, the plastic door on the vector screwed up when changing the battery rendering it useless for water based sports- hence the upgrade to the core..
