raymond13 0 Posted November 21, 2012 Looking to get a pam380 as i really like the rad shape, have been checking previous threads on this model ( search is your friend ) and there seemed to be a bit of debate over its durability over time, strap issues etc. was looking to see if anyone had been giving it any serious wrist time and how it has held up. thanks for any help

Rogerthat 0 Posted November 21, 2012 (edited) It is awesome The only issue is same as all rads The design is a poor one for frequent strap changes Find a perfect strap, loctite using the removable kind and forget it The little back screws suck for holding in and strip if you use them consistently No solution for that, watch otherwise is perfect I have 2 of them (long story why) but both are the same in regard to the little screws on the back Edited November 21, 2012 by Rogerthat

Meticulous care is need durin strap changes. Mine is on the rep ASS strap, which I treated with some shoe leather lotion to darken it up.
raymond13 0 Posted November 21, 2012 thanks guys, will be keeping it as a dress watch so dont envisage swapping out the strap that often. think i will smash the piggy bank and get something special from serge on croc or ostrich when it arrives.

NFleischer 4,355 Posted November 24, 2012 To give you some idea how good a rep it is, here's the gen. Pretty scary close! The AR is probably the biggest tell.

Rogerthat 0 Posted November 24, 2012 Yeah I am very picky about ar and have absolutely no issues with the ar on this rep There is a spacing flaw in one of the letters on the rep which is visible on the dial but otherwise a perfect rep This is one if the If not the least expensive gen Panerai and the rep factory nailed this one for the most part Other than as mentioned the minor disk flaw and the lug screw issues
