Look how the "er" of "Seamaster" goes up at the end, like on the reps. I reckon that's a rep.

EDIT: After comparing to the QC pics of mine from Toro, that is identical in every way. Serial number doesn't match warranty card. Total rep!

Yep, the pearl is the most obvious tell. Rep for sure. I feel sorry for the poor soul who buys it.

Quote - The current owner bought this item from the original owner and intend to resell it in a higher price.

Bezel's teeth are too deep as well. Ironically, this looks like the very model I'm currently in the process of ordering from Silix... at less than 10% of the current bid, haha.

Don't feel sorry for anyone who buys a watch like that on eBay from a seller with zero feedback/sales.

The Ω-logo is also among the biggest tells imo.

Also asked the seller a question: does he realize that he's a scamming low-life cunt?

If he is self-aware he would know this, but you Jeff are a warm human being for pointing it out to him...............consider it your good deed for the day. :D

A finely balanced observation, vicious but both fair and truthful.

when someone points out the Seamaster text on the face of the watch it sticks out a mile

Still not been withdrawn though, and it's been reported by more than one of us!

Why would someone want to risk $1800 with a guy who has a zero transaction score, maybe there is one born every minute

Yes - As per Rob Roy - Methinks the guy selling it has no idea. Original watch owner's made a few bob sticking a moody watch in a gen box with real paperwork. A bit of smooth talking and the unwitting ebay guy can't believe his good fortune or maybe he thinks he drove a hard bargain buying it cheap! The guy clearly hasn't realised the significance of mismatch of numbers otherwise he'd have hidden the evidence. I know plenty of people that would fall for it (just off to cancel my bid)!

Thinking the same thing. Would really have to be a dumb ass showing a pic of the movement unless he thought it was gen.
