hotch 0 Posted December 6, 2012 Hi guys, Is it complicated to fix a second hand which felt off? Is there a possibility to open the bezel?
Pob 73 Posted December 6, 2012 There is no bazel so you'll have to open the back! To put the second hand back is not a problem if you have the right tool
hotch 0 Posted December 6, 2012 Maybe I used the wrong word as I am not a native english speaker. I was unsure if there would be a possibility to remove the glass. It does not seem so. Which tools will I need for getting it fixed and what would be next after opening the back?
Arism 26 Posted December 6, 2012 (edited) It's a pretty simple fix, just open her up, decase the movement and reattach the hand. Be careful though! [edit] I use this and a set of jewelers screwdrivers. Edited December 6, 2012 by Arism
Pob 73 Posted December 6, 2012 I'm sure some of the experts will come soon because i'm not good with the names of the tools but you'll have to open the back, remove the CG and the crown, then get the movement out and put the second hand on

hotch 0 Posted December 6, 2012 Okay. Now the question would be what will be more expensive. Buying the needed tools or giving it to repair.
houndoggie 58 Posted December 6, 2012 Okay. Now the question would be what will be more expensive. Buying the needed tools or giving it to repair. cheaper to have it repaired, if it can be done locally It would be a $30 fix for a pro.
Pob 73 Posted December 6, 2012 It would be quite the same I think since you'll have to send it to someone ( pay for the shipping 2 ways ) and, pay for the work ( not much cauze it is a simple fix )!
Arism 26 Posted December 6, 2012 please no pics of you family's sex toys. Couldn't resist... feeling a bit frisky tonight
hotch 0 Posted December 6, 2012 Unfortunately I do not have a local watchsmith who would help me with a rep. So I would need the help of Wiz or another guy within the EU
JohnPilot 1 Posted December 6, 2012 Where are you from? I could fix it for you. For free of course.
Crusader 0 Posted December 6, 2012 It would be an easy fix for someone with some skills, maybe you could look around localy to see if there is some rep friendly watchsmith near you? One question... what kind of strap is on your 048? Looks really nice and soft.
hotch 0 Posted December 6, 2012 No idea . Just received it today with another strap which was to short. I changed the strap and while doing it I recognized that the second hand fell off.

10:10 Watch Repair 1 Posted December 6, 2012 Okay. Now the question would be what will be more expensive. Buying the needed tools or giving it to repair. You mean having it repaired, or buying the tools and then having the new damage repaired?
hotch 0 Posted December 7, 2012 @Greed I think it was when changing the strap. Thanks for all the help. You guys are great. John would help me in this case.
