chiefsalami 0 Posted February 12, 2010 What's the largest (in terms of body size) Rolex model? I like the Sub and Seadwellers, or even the Daytona, because I love chronos the best. But I'm looking for a large watch. I'm a huge fan (and owner) of the 48.5mm Breitling Super Avenger, and I would like to find a Rolex similar in size. Can someone point me in the right direction and hopefully the best place(s) to get the best rep? thanks,
cybee 0 Posted February 12, 2010 I don't know but does Rolex make a case bigger than 40mm?

GC 4,523 Posted February 12, 2010 (edited) OK, so how about something nicer? Not from Rolex...43mm-44mm is their largest offerings as sconehead already said it's YMII or DSSD. Edited February 12, 2010 by G.Curcio

Luthier 1 Posted February 12, 2010 DSSD is 43mm, YMII is 42mm. DSSD is beautiful, YMII is ugly. Unfortunately DSSD is the biggest offspring of ROLEX.

greg_r 83 Posted February 12, 2010 ,if you like big watches buy a 48mm bigbang or a AP survivor or a cartier santos maxi One word. Panerai.
chiefsalami 0 Posted February 12, 2010 (edited) I know they are big, but not really my style. I do have one military style watch. It's a 50mm (!!!) Chase-Durer: here. Very cool. One word. Panerai. I just checked out rolex.com as suggested. I don't think there is going to be a model that will work for me. The DSSD is the closest in size, but only available with the black dial. And I already have too many black watches or watches with black dials. I want a white one. I may just have to go with another Breitling SA, but this time in the white on steel version. 48.5mm, ideally. trksh-bzr 3 Posted February 12, 2010 ahey I know this ain't exactly the size you're looking for but at least the dial isn't black, so give it a chance... http://www.watchsilix.com/pic/images/rol82-8.jpg couldn't help myself, good luck with the hunt.
KBH 7 Posted February 12, 2010 Let me help you out with that link: I guess it makes up for the smaller size with the extra flash! You don't need to go big to be noticed.
PatronSaintofChainsaws 1 Posted February 12, 2010 The early Panerai Radiomirs, since Rolex technically made those. Also, the Deep Sea Special was pretty big.

chiefsalami 0 Posted February 12, 2010 Yeah, Panerai is just not my style. I'm not much for the antique look, other than maybe an old-school military watch, which I already have and don't want to add to. I'm looking for something modern and on a metal band, like the Breitling SA mostly. Chrono is a big plus.
