Punching holes in AP diver v3 strap???

Recommended Posts

12lurk

What is the collective wisdom on punching holes in rubber straps? I have an AP diver v3 and could use it to be "1/2 hole" tighter.

Can this be done? Should this be done? How is it done while avoiding rubber splitting?

Thank you in advance.

Might work with a leather hole puncher but the hole will be round, maybe a shoemaker would have a square leather punch tool, dont blame me if it doesnt work, the leather punch does work though saw it on rwi, just looks odd compared to the square holes

You can buy square hole punches - but it may well weaken the rubber and allow a rip between the two regular holes.

Now HD should not even start to comment on this..... please....

PS - your wife is just getting back from pregnancy - cut her a break on being loose

if it were something where you were adding on to the 1st or last hole I could punch one for you. While technically doable, punching in between existing holes would not leave enough rubber behind to maintain the integrity of the strap.
