Pohoho 0 Posted December 18, 2012 Got my order of G-101 Lume powder from RWG shop today. Im very happy with this awesome product; and great pricing and very reasonable shipping cost too Right out of the envelope you see a hand-written reminder by Col, a thoughtful gesture. Thanks mate, appreciate that. Setting the stage: I try to get an equal thickness of both contestants by pouring the WatchLume into a small ziplock: After about 30 secs charge: And 15mins later. (i had to brighten up the photo a bit to show the little bit of glow left on both, which is not showing up well in the photo): The Verdict: G-101 is the clear winner for the brighter initial glow and longer lasting afterglow. trailboss99 996 Posted December 18, 2012 Mate, give it 5 minutes in daylight or 1 under a UV lamp and that stuff will still be glowing in the morning, no kid. A Pam is still 100% readable in total darkness after 6 to 8 hours depending on application. There is only a small difference in staying power and brightness in between that lume and what's on my Seiko Monster. The Monster wins but not by much and we all how well they glow! The lump warning was due to that being the last of a batch and you want that stuff smoooooth as when the binder hits it. Oh, and you forgot the other big advantage over W@tchlume, it's 1/5th of the price!
vexorg 0 Posted December 18, 2012 crap, more stuff i need to add to my Christmas wish list...
J.Eric 693 Posted December 18, 2012 I use RWG W-101 and P-201S lume. Both work great, are easy to use, and last a good while. Awesome stuff! Highly recommend it!! A few examples... I am looking forward to seeing what you create.
Pohoho 0 Posted December 19, 2012 Looks awesome J Eric, what an inspiration. However I have too many non watch related things on hand now so that's probably a 2013 welcome pic. The candidate is here: a Russian Cockpit clock. (i haven't have time to put my thoughts together for my review on my new BP from Toro yet).
J.Eric 693 Posted December 19, 2012 That clock looks awesome!! Mind if I ask where it came from?
Pohoho 0 Posted December 19, 2012 Bought it off eBay from Russia. Just search for "Russian Aircraft Clock". There is a few variant. And they can operate under extreme conditions like up to 6G pull! Here's another one with rather bright lume but not as lasting as the G-101 but given the technology back then, I guess it's impressive already. Here's my second piece in special Ice Blue case; used in the USSR Artic Air Force Jets according to the seller. This one has a 60min counter lower sub dial, upper sub dial is the 12hr flight timer. Lume glows in the night like a Christmas tree! This is just a day light shot:

dutchie 0 Posted December 22, 2012 So whats the difference between normale 'lume' and 'Superlumed' Superlume = C3 Super Luminova> Grtz
arancini 0 Posted December 22, 2012 Interesting comparison. Thanks for posting. Is this RWG lume as strong as the Blue/White Superlume Getat uses? I wonder if trailboss can apply this lume if you send your watch his way.
Pohoho 0 Posted December 22, 2012 (edited) Interesting comparison. Thanks for posting. Is this RWG lume as strong as the Blue/White Superlume Getat uses? I wonder if trailboss can apply this lume if you send your watch his way. I have the Green Superlume from Getat and here's the comparison after half a minute charge under fluorescent light: Looks similar after 5 mins in the dark but not showing well in iphone pic so not posting a shot here. I do remember the G-101 has quite a lasting after glow as I saw it on my table the day I got it. You can't go very wrong with those in the RWG shop and at that pricing! I will be happy to quote you something for a lume job and I'm sure TB will too ..... for the right price Edited December 22, 2012 by Pohoho
