Hi! After reading bucket load of post and instructions

On watches on the site. I finally got the nerve to open

A automatic watch( Cheap Chinese) that wasn’t working.

The second I opened the back it started to work!!!. Put

The back on it stops. Did this back and forth same thing

Any idea of what to look for.

Certainly looks like something puts pressure and binds a moving part when the case back is put back on. One possibility is that the movement might be loose inside the case. Check to see if the screws that hold the movement are tight and whether messing with them affects it. Usually involves a couple of screws on the outer periphery of the movement.

Otherwise, perhaps the case back somehow binds the movement when it's screwed back on.

I recently had an automatic that worked when wound manually but would not wind automatically. The problem was that the rotor was rubbing on the caseback.

Picture of case back of Cartier Tank. Green disclosing spray shows where rotor was rubbing
