Winding my watch

Recommended Posts

Woodster

prooper Noob question so feel free chuckle at me....

just got my PAM 111 V3 Noob from Mary & Rochest (pictures to be posted later) and its dynamite! It is my first mechanical watch and I want to make sure i'm doing things correctly. When i'm winding the watch to 'charge it' so to speak, do I pull the crown out fully (so the hands move) or just out to the first notch and wind it?

Cheers!

I believe you don't even have to pull the crown to wind a PAM. It's like that with my 253 anyway. Just open your crownguard and turn the crown

No notches, no pulling. Just open the lever and wind away :)

Or you could try wearing it, I heard it sometimes works with mechanical watches!

not on a handwind PAM.

stem has typically 3 positions.

0 is the winding position

1 is the date set and/or GMT hand set (one click out)

2 is time set (2 clicks out)

A PAM111 has a hand wind movement, you have to wind it by hand.

When i'm winding the watch to 'charge it' so to speak

Wind about 25 times once a day and reset the CG and it should last all day.
