Is this a good buy? Noob Rolex Day-Date II SS White Roman Number

Recommended Posts

So I've just bought my first rep a few days ago from toro, a pam111 v3 noob. I have not yet received the watch, and I went off to buy a gen chestnut brown aligator strap on eBay. Now i'm getting more excited... no idea why, looking to get a second rep at the moment, I had a Pam127 in mind, but was thinking about a classic Rolex watch like the one below. Something simple and isn't pretentious. Is this a good buy from Marvellous Replicas? Are noob DD2 reps known to have a big difference compared to gen?

It's a good rep - not quite perfect, but as close as they get for the DD2. Very pretty watch indeed :)

I bought a couple for my brother from WI - one was a DD2, the other 'just' a Datejust.

I only had them in my possession for a day or so, but I was really impressed with them, really quite refined and smart watches - although some of the colour/dial combinations are a little out there.

I think if you keep it pretty clean, then you can't go wrong.

Can't comment on how precise they are to the gen as I've never really looked at the real thing that closely but, let's face it, most people won't know the difference.

You guys are right. I am also considering this, light blue with dark blue numerical.

it looks pretty identical despite the lighting used on Marvellous Replica's shot.

Which one should I go with? I can only choose one.

I have the blue one, but I have to say I prefer the white.

The only reason I bought the blue was that I already had white dials in both DJ and DD (36mm versions) ;)

Just personal taste at this point. More white dials than blue ones out there. I wouldn't worry about any color discrepancy between rep and gen. I'll bet you can't tell.

This is used.

What am I missing? Look at day window. French for Friday is Vendredi.

edit: Nevermind....italian.

I, personally, prefer sticks markers. Roman or Arabig numerals make dial too busy.

The Noob DDII and DJII models are excellent quality, they really are good - I love my black dial/black numerals version :)

For accuracy, you should go with the white one.

This is one of the few DD reps which get the hallmarks and the crown right.

The Gen of the blue is platinum whereas the white is white gold. The Gens would have cifferent markings depending on the material, but the reps are both based on the white gold version.
