howasong 0 Posted March 7, 2010 Finally have some time to take pictures of the Omega 50th Anniversary SMP Moonwatch (SS version, limited 5957) I have. I fell in love with this watch when I first saw it back in 2007 before I knew anything about rep watches. I was telling myself that this is the watch that I would like to collect and pass it onto my next generation and generations after that, like a family treasure, to convince myself to spend the money on it. Now, I know about rep watches, I am a much happier man than ever. Don't have to spend a fortune to get the watch I like and feel guilty about it. I can buy the rep instead and still able to save money for my kid's education. I wish I had a better lighting set up to take better pictures for this beauty. Hope you enjoy it. The case back with the famous wording and the embossed seahorse medallion. The better view of the gold seahorse on the dial. Photoshop it into black & white. The special 50th Anniversary watch box. Last, the lume shots, the lume on the 50th Anniversary SMP Moonwatch is pretty weak though. I have to charge it directly under the light in less than a feet to get a decent lume shot out of it. AustinTech 0 Posted March 8, 2010 I love that watch. Love it so.... Nice pictures also. The reps aren't going to be able to make a crystal like that one.
howasong 0 Posted March 9, 2010 Thanks, guys. I fell in love with this watch the very first time I saw the pictures of it in 2007. I love the regular moonie, too, but thought the 50th Anniversary Limited version has better value for collection. I told my wife, I would never buy another watch in order to get her buy-in on the purchase. You can image how happy I was when I came across these rep forums a couple months ago. I think I will be buying & playing with the rep for a very very long time before I save up enough fund to get another gen.
