cb_5150 0 Posted January 21, 2013 Hi guys, So, I have a PAM fantasy based on a 177. If I were to get a 177 dial, would I also have to change the movement? The seconds @ 9 on the fantasy are super close to the main hands. On the more accurate 177 sandwich dial, the seconds @ 9 are far closer to the 9. Any advice? greg_r 81 Posted January 21, 2013 depends on what movement is in there to start off with - if it's a 21J, the spacing is going to be different than if it's a 6497 (which it would need to be if it's going to be like the gen - and to fit the 177 dial). Note that if you have to change the movement, you'll have to change the movement ring and the hands too. Sounds to me like you'd do better just buying a better watch. Some pics might help ,though... Crusader 0 Posted January 21, 2013 We need photos so we can give you proper professional examination of the case. But yes, if the subdial is very close to the hands you probably have 21j movement and I would say it's not worth doing the swap. Rather get yourself cheaper titanium homage and then put 177 dial in there.
