Am I the only one that is convinced the He valve is in the wrong spot? Looks for sure to be centered on 10.

Pics on Omega site show the gen centred on the 10.

Not really that excited about these. Every rep of these that I've seen are pretty far off from the Gen. Caseback, pearl, dial color and so on. I'll wait until V2 or 3.

Ah! Those tricky Swiss!

I'm not that excited either. The caseback/movement is guaranteed to be all kinds of screwed up.

Meh, I'll stick with the one I already have.

Really hoping these aren't going to suffer the same crown/tube problems as the last lot of PO 42's did.

Just thinking the same thing...

The first thing I need to say (and I've said it before) is that I don't really understand the Omega range and the reps available very well.

However a little while ago I bought a cheap/cheerful blue 'Ceramic' PO because I liked the look of it and understanding that it almost certainly isn't the greatest (closest to gen) rep out there.

Just for my on-going education, can I ask the experts to cast an eye over it and tell me:

  • where mine 'fails' as a rep against the gen
  • where these new reps are better

Cheers,

Higs

Can you both please post backcase pictures where "Professional" is engraved.

Kind regards

And you both beat me to it.

I was going to ask about the crown/tube issue on this one. That's been holding me back on a UPO purchase. I recently bought a Moonie and was surprised to find that it's crown/tube fit was also really poor.

This isnt for all UPOs, my 42mm from mary was fine with the crown, must just be certain ones that passed through the dealers qc...

I wonder do they come with orange bezel? If not, can the 5GPO insert fit right in?

I hope they will be offered with 21j movement for us cheap people

It does looks nice, especially the orange numbers.

Yeah my girlfriend wants a white one, I was thinking 21j for her and a black clone for me :)

Dammit, you're right! And now that I'm looking, the window seems like it's corners are squared instead of rounded.

But the rest of it is SO NICE.

Rep Dimensions: 45.5mm x 17mm Thick.

Rep Dimensions: 42mm x 16.5mm Thick- 16.5mm seems a bit too tall for my liking!

I understand the lug widths are 20mm and 22mm but those thickness there are a deal breaker for me.

Anyone know what the gen thickness dimension is?

The lug width on both are 20mm, i mean that the lug width on the 45,5mm is 22mm on the gen.

Watch looks realy nice but i wait for the first reviews before i buy it.
