How much have you spent on your current collection of replicas?

$3280 on reps, $4000 on gens and $1000+ on parts and movements since November 2007...that's the stuff I can remember about...and I've got an awful memory...

Mind you, if I wasn't spending it on watches I'd be blowing it on something else instead...:itchyandscratchy:

plus 18-20 gens including girlfriend = 30K

so over the last 20 years of watch collecting roughly 50K!!!@#%%$

Holy Crap I'm Done!

Hum...

the math tells me...$2,285

All but three have been sold, sales got me $1,700 back.

So I've wasted $585 - not bad for a 2 yr hobby - $24 a month. And I could probably get $265 if I sold the three i have now. So that could take it down to $320, or $13 a month.

Shit, I gotta go buy more reps!

The gens are what get me...and the watch winder, tools, ect are also tough. Well over $5K on gen stuff.

The only saving grace is that i spent the money over a period of years, still do the math its several K every year on average.

One gen like the Rolex GMT blows it for 3 years. And no doc- I wish it was chump change! i do consider my collection(gens) as a savings

acc't. the 3 rollies for example can always be sold usually without any loss from purchase price.

I'M DONE- at least for now! jejeje

All reps tallied and totalled is approx. $1,600. Half of them were non-running and purchased from forum members at a cheap price. I'm a bit of a garbage collector hehe. Still, not a bad price to pay for learning a new hobby and meeting nice people who have similar passion. It's been a fun experience and I wouldnt trade it for anything. ^_^

I wonder how much Pix and that Tanfoglio guy have spent on reps?

;)

I've probably purchased about 75, but sold most of them.

The WM9 Sub was supposed to be the watch I wore most every day, the one that would end the obsession. It did, for a while. The key is to not log on to the fora.

I don't wanna know how much. Probably not as much as I fear however.

Think I've spent more on tools than on watches.

NF: you count your GF as a gen? ;)

My GF (now ex) refused to wear reps. Only the real deal for her- lucky for me.

@ P_Diddy I have 3 gen rollies; 2 DJ and a GMT. I'd like to sell one of the DJ, my ex is dying for it even after I gave her a TT

air king.
