peakpower 0 Posted February 8, 2013 I just saw this "hybrid" Rolex on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROLEX-GENEVE-SUBMARINER-YACHTMASTER-HYBRID-SOLID-18K-GOLD-/200891866086?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item2ec6169be6 Is it supposed to be the ultimate franken Rolex or what? Hybrid Geneve/Rolex? Is that what they're called now? Wow! I think this auction requires some action...
ron76 0 Posted February 8, 2013 It's a gen sub with a gen yachtmaster bezel. Edit: build from gen parts

peakpower 0 Posted February 8, 2013 It's a gen sub with a gen yachtmaster bezel. Edit: build from gen parts "Absolutely gorgeous Geneve/Rolex hybrid. Your choice of looks. I will include both bezel rings so you have the option to create either look for a nominal $25.00 change out by a jeweler of the bezel ring.I had this watch built with a combination of Geneve and Rolex parts creating one beautiful hybrid.Less the cost with the same punch and well worth the money in gold alone. The entire watch is solid 18k yellow gold. Case is an 18k gold swiss Geneve identical to a Rolex case in size and weight. The movement is an all swiss 25 jewel self winding automatic movement with hacking feature.Dial was custom made with gold Rolex markers finished in Rolex Submariner blue (gorgeous). Crown and bezel are solid 18k gold from a Rolex Yachtmaster. The band is a solid 18k gold swiss aftermarket brand new with all links ($4000.00 cost). Entire watch is solid 18k gold and weights 5.7 ounces (160 grams). Always wanted this look but too far out of reach? Here you go...Any questions email me or call John @ 631-244-0006" The only thing GEN about it is supposedly the dial markers, bezel and crown. Everything else is "aftermarket". I have a few franken reps that have more gen content than this "hybrid" Rolex and I wouldn't call them a gen. Hmmm... maybe I should.
gB. 0 Posted February 8, 2013 Interesting listing. But isn't the dial a replica given it states custom made "with gold Rolex markers finished in Rolex Submariner blue", but it has the Rolex logo on it that didn't come from Rolex itself, so replica, no? That would make that listing a fake rolex and against the rulez...

tesmith2112 0 Posted February 10, 2013 That watch looks like shit anyway. The date font is terrible too, definitely not Rolex, or even trying to emulate Rolex. Reminds me of the Invicta Sub knock-off font.

I saw this listing while I was browsing eBay last week and I reported it as a counterfeit item. Janizary 0 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) eBay literally removes any listing if you report it. I had plenty of listings taken off that seem to be out of spite from a pissed off buyer Edited February 12, 2013 by Janizary
