Not until you've been here for a while. After a few posts you will see the member sales area - you'll find the sales rules pinned to the top of the subforum

Search and read the requirements on selling on these forums my friend, it's not exactly the ideal first post here either to be frank.

FOR SELLERS:

1. This subforum is for private sales of your own property only - NO dealer sales allowed (Dealers should contact an Admin if they wish to be considered to be allowed to sell here).

All VIP/Supporter members are eligible to post items for sale in the member sales forum provided they have been members of the board for at least 30 days.

Regular members with a minimum of 60 days membership and 50 quality posts may also post sales in the member sales forum.

Anyone may post a "Want To Buy" thread, but bear in mind that we have no restrictions on who can respond to your ad, so buyer beware! Make sure you know who you're dealing with before you hand over your hard-earned cash as we will be unable to help if things go wrong.

2. You may sell replica, gen and homage watches, watch tools, clocks, straps, parts and even non watch-related items up to a value of $1,000. Items of higher value should be discussed with a member of the admin team before posting. Note: no pirated software, porn etc. items are permitted - if you are unsure whether your item is allowed, please feel free to ask a member of the admin team before you post your sale.

3. There's no limit to the number of items a seller may post for sale, but this forum is only for the private resale of used and unwanted goods that you want to move on - not for the sale of new items. Anyone who we believe may be trading as a dealer will be removed. This forum MUST NOT BE USED FOR SELLING FOR PROFIT. If you are attempting to sell an item for the same or higher than normal used cost, then there needs to be a good reason - i.e. modifications, rarity etc.

4. ALL items for sale must be accompanied by a tagged photograph. DO NOT USE IMAGESHACK TO POST YOUR PHOTOGRAPH - MANY MEMBERS WILL BE UNABLE TO SEE IT. Please use Photobucket, Flickr or the like. To ensure that the item pictured is the item for sale, your photo should include a hand-written or computer-printed card (included in the shot - not added later via photoshop) featuring your user name, date and RWG written on it. IMPORTANT: When posting images, please ensure that you size them to a maximum of 950pix wide. Over-large images not only slow the board down, but they can be very difficult to view - particularly for those using mobile platforms and smaller laptops. Excessively large images may be deleted without warning.

5. No auctions, please. All prices must be stated in advance and included in the initial sales post. Trades are permitted, but a price guide should always be given so that the buyer has an idea of the value involved in the item you are trying to trade.

6. NO Group Buys, proxy sales, sale of services rendered (watch smithing etc) and/or sales of multiple samples of the same item except by prior written admin approval. No exceptions.

7. When your item is sold, please place a 'SOLD' post in your thread.

8. Paypal or similar online payment option that offers buyer protection (such as Alertpay) should be offered, but NO PAYPAL "GIFT" OR "PAYMENT OWED" PAYMENTS ALLOWED. Gift payments can cause paypal to take a close interest in your transaction, ultimately leading to the possibility of freezing the accounts involved. Additionally, gift payments do not allow any recourse via PP if things should go wrong. Note that if you pay via paypal gift despite the above advice, we will not be able to offer any assistance in the event of of something going wrong with the transaction.

9 This is not compulsory, but we recommend that pricing should be in U.S. dollars - whatever region you may be based in. This reduces the chance of confusion due to the exchange rate differences between sterling, euro and other currencies and allows reasonable comparison between new and used prices.

NOTE: Comments on sales threads should be kept civil but are otherwise unrestricted. If a member has a fair and reasonable concern that your item is not as described, is overpriced or otherwise not as it should be, they are free (and encouraged) to say so in your thread. If you think a comment is unfair, please PM an admin or mod and we'll take a look at it.

Any questions relating to these rules should be addressed before listing your item. Sales posted that do not adhere to the rules may be removed at the discretion of the board admins - note that member sales may ONLY be posted in this subforum and should be posted in English - sales posts not adhering to these rules will be removed or edited.

Unlike some other forums, there is no fee required of members to sell here provided you fulfill the basic membership requirements above. We do, however, request that you consider upgrading to VIP in order to help ensure the future of RWG. Please PM a member of staff to find out how to upgrade.

FOR BUYERS:

1. Please be sure that you agree terms with the seller before sending your money - this should include:

a: Ensuring that you know exactly what you are buying.

b: Agreeing acceptable payment methods before closing the deal.

c: Agreeing responsibility for loss or seizure in transit before closing the deal.

2. If you see an item advertised that seems to be incorrectly described, overpriced or otherwise not as it should be, you should feel free to say so in the thread - but please be both civil and fair about it. If there's a major problem that a friendly comment will not cover, feel free to PM an admin or mod with your concerns and we'll take a look at it.

3. When paying by Paypal DO NOT MENTION RWG, WATCHES, REPLICAS or any reference to what you are buying in payment comments. This can result in the transaction not going through properly.

DISPUTES

If you have a problem with a transaction, your first action should be to contact the seller and try to reach an amicable arrangement. If this proves impossible then please PM an admin or mod with all the relevant information and we will try to help you resolve your issue. Note, however, that quality of watches varies and sometimes things go wrong or get damaged in transit, you must be prepared to accept this. You must also accept that customs can and sometimes do confiscate a watch when crossing national borders. This is something outside the control of any of us and you and the seller must agree - before closing the sale - who will responsible if there is damage in transit or a customs seizure (usually the latter is down to the buyer).

Please note that if you open a Paypal or CC dispute against any seller here without express agreement of an RWG admin, you may be permanently denied access to the sales section on this board (for both buying and selling).

PLEASE NOTE:

RWG, its owners and administrators cannot be held responsible for the outcome of sales or other agreements whether between members or between member and dealer. We will try to help resolve disputes where we can but do not guarantee the successful conclusion of any transaction made by members of this forum and will not be held responsible for financial loss incurred under any circumstances whatsoever. By engaging in a transaction with another forum member you agree to these terms.

Note that the member sales area is ONLY for the posting of actual Sales or Wanted threads. Anything inappropriate may be removed without warning.
