a gen cartier tank ('cause there is no proper rep) is around 1700$ new. and is very classy.

if she prefer a diver, i would suggest Rolex as Ding_le . can't go wrong with rolexes.

i love girls with small watches ... too big means "i have balls"...

Also Take a look at the Hublots. Wide offers in different sizes. My wife loves it.

As well as the Cartier Santos.

My son is a chef and he likes the Milgauss. I think it is anti-magnetic but not sure.

I would suggest that you get a men's watch for her.

Ladies watches are much more fragile.

I work alot in the kitchen and am Serv-safe Certified.

Working in the kitchen requires something durable, easy to keep clean and definitely not fragile.

I wear nitriles but usually manage to splash things onto my watch because I wear my chef's jackets with the cuffs up.

I lost the bezel of my TH Forumla One. I thought I might have knocked it off reaching into the chest freezer. I can't imagine I bumped it anywhere else. I didn't wear it to a construction site. I didn't find it when I cleaned the freezer :(

How large is her wrist? Be guided accordingly.

I have a smaller wrist and find the 38mm a great size (men's mid-size/unisex size) and a 40mm nice too but nothing larger for the kitchen. I will clean, gut and dress animals wearing a SS Blackseal, but not general chop and prep work.

Some watches wear smaller and look great, like the PAM Blackseal. The negative is it is a bit heavy for kitchen work. The positive is it's easy to see and easy to clean. No moving bezel or crown guard to get caught on things or get damaged or need cleaning. It is also extremely reliable and durable.

Find out if she wants a bracelet, or leather or rubber strap. It may be an important practical consideration for her.

Please let us know what you decide on.

Good Luck.

:)

36mm Squale diver. Not too big, 30 ATM water resistant and no bling. My wife loves hers.
