wat44 0 Posted March 4, 2013 what is his policy for customs?
SSTEEL 0 Posted March 4, 2013 Andrew's? If item is seized, you show him proof of the seizure, and he will send another to either a new address, or via a different method of shipping.
JohnPilot 1 Posted March 4, 2013 Andrew don't ship. He even don't live in China. He never touch the watch. I know that, you know that, and even my grandma's goldfish knows it. Andrew is in the Philippines iirc. But you know what I mean though about the tracking numbers, its just like for example, you go into your own post office and take a load of Recorded Delivery slips, then these are used with processed orders. No Andrew and Josh live in Singapore. They have relatives in Guangzhou, who pick up and ship watches. I don't understand why dropshipping could be a problem for anyone? Have I missed something? When we order from our beloved TDs they need a few days to get the watch. Having waited another few days or a week we receive QC pics We approve or decline. He/she sends the watches, we get trackingnumber. After one more week we get the watch. If during the process we have some questions we get an answer within 1-3 days. Ok? When we order from Andrew he needs a few days to get the watch. No big difference. Having waited another few days or a week we receive QC pics. each watch tagged with a unique number. We approve or decline. His relatives send the watches, we get trackingnumber. After one more week we get the watch. If during the process we have some questions we get an answer within 1 hour. From my experiences I don't get the difference between a TD or a "dropshipper"? Both can be more or less good. Andrew never let me down in 8 years. He is on my personal TD list. SSTEEL 0 Posted March 4, 2013 I personally don't have a problem with Andrew in what he does, I do however hate drop shippers on ebay as I have been messed around by many.
wat44 0 Posted March 4, 2013 Difference is with say Mary is that someone will check the watch - do you get it now? It's difficult to check a movement with a QC pic
JohnPilot 1 Posted March 4, 2013 Difference is with say Mary is that someone will check the watch - do you get it now? It's difficult to check a movement with a QC pic Sure a pic will not check movement. But a pic of watch running an a timegrapher together with the insurance of a person you know should do. Anyway we have so many good dealer that everyone will find his luck.

LightGeek 25 Posted March 5, 2013 Well I have to say Andrew's communication has been lightning quick so far, even amidst some QC nit picks. This may be because he doesn't have to spend time to "go to the market" as other TDs say.
SSTEEL 0 Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) I forgot just how tricky is was to capture watches, I think I need to practice more, so more spending Here's the Sub that arrived today from Andrew. The only issue I can find is the etched coronet @6 on the crystal, it's not quite right, but for the money I paid, I won't lose sleep over it. Photos in no particular order, and any marks or blemishes are due to me not having a proper cleaning cloth, I did try, honest. Enjoy! Yes, you missing a lot, John. Our TDs personally go to the factory, or to the factory representatives at Watch Market, choose the best watch from the stock, then bring it to their office, and then their watchsmith inspect and, in some cases, regulate every watch before shipping. In dropshipper's case, you're on mercy of factory's QC. And we know, what does it mean. Dropshipper never even see your watch.
SSTEEL 0 Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) @Luthier, @9 marker looks fine when looking straight on, must be the photos light, angle. Edited March 5, 2013 by SSTEEL
SSTEEL 0 Posted March 5, 2013 Marker @9 is way off, same as on BK's Subs. Actually mate, I think you are onto something. Just been checking through many of the BK, and TT subs, and the more you look, the more obvious it is. I wont loose sleep over it though give mine's only a cheapie, but thanks for pointing this flaw out, appreciated mate.
SSTEEL 0 Posted March 6, 2013 (edited) Update after a day of wearing. It's keeping perfect time so far, so pleased with the Asian movement thats inside. As you have read, Luthier has correctly pointed out a couple of flaws with this cheapie, no big deal, I won't lose sleep, but I will highlight them for you. Previous post by Luthier points out the off marker @ 9. Also the triangle at 12 is slightly off. Apart from these two flaws, it's pretty accurate otherwise. Of course the CG's and Pearl could do with modding, but we will see, this is my first rep after several years being out of the game. Back then when I was first into reps, there were issues with the Daytona's sec@6, and its sad to see that this is still the case all these years on. Now back to this sub, I forgot to mention, it's weight, having had a gen, I would say the weight is gen like, the bezel is tighter than a gen. The bracelet, although very solid, and superb clasp that positivity clicks into place, the edges of the bracelet are somewhat sharp, and may need smoothing a little. Thats about it. Enjoy! Great to hear. That should help answer your doubts regarding TrustyTime's service as a "dropshipper".
