Can't do that with pics. Don't think I would pull the trigger on a PAM unless I was absolutely certain that it would look nice.

Pictures really don't do it justice, really need to own one. Pick up a 111. Sell it M2M if its not your style.

That's one of the strenghs of the forum try it and if it's not for you then M2M sales is then an option......... you may lose a little money for the hire of the watch.........then help another member with a purchase.

You either get it, or you don't.

As others have said, it's all personal and subjective.

For example some swear by Rolex subs but I can't stand the fugly things.

Tried a few different Reps, but I always keep coming back to the clean, distinctive design of a PAM.

Love the polished cases.

The genuine military history is a bonus.

I am in the I don' get Pam's camp. But love IWC's which is my idea of simple and elegant! Taste is a weird thing isn't it.

Agree with you on the IWC count.

Really like some of their pieces as well.

Yeah maybe I'll give it a shot. I still want to get the watch Daniel Craig wears in the newer James Bond 007 movies before I do any experimenting.

Good argument. Thanks for your input.

Panerai has 5-7 distinctive models, and they're beautiful. Rest - just repeating itself over and over again. With microscopic changes. The number of models is way over 500 now, and it's laughable. Sometimes it's like one number for the watch with steel bracelet, another number - for the same watch with leather strap. They even worse, than Hublot in this matter. But, as I said - 5-7 models are just "must to have" to every collector.

My personal preferences - 029, 090, 111, 127, 224, 253, 288, 386.

Totally agree with this, there are several models that I really like and plan on adding to the collection in the future, but I wish they offered more variety amongst their model range.

Statistically impossible that Panerai is either you love them or hate them. There will always be one with ''meh, they are ok'' attitude :)

I've tried to like them, I really have. But they ended up in m2m and I will not buy another.

I don't think there is a more polarizing watch than panari. It's a watch that seems to have almost a fanatical following.

I don't mind them, but I don't go gaga like some. I do own the ubiquitous PAM111 which I do wear, but as for the "vintage" look PAM or the corroded with acid, or brown dials you can keep them.

Watches with history, I prefer the vintage pieces.

And I agree, You like them or not.

I also didn't loved them 4 or 5 years ago.

But after I had ordered one of them, wore it for a couple of days:

I was infected with the PAM virus.

This is fortunately a part of our hobby, to have the choice.

Beside this, a Rolex ( not the deep sea Challenge ) is too small for me, I have 21,5 cm wrists.

Anything under 44mm in diameter looks like I had stolen it from my sons.

These are some of the reasons why I like Pams.

Well said. I appreciate the imput!

I don't have the largest wrists so I think a 40 is perfect. 41mm+ is just pushing it.

Can someone tell me what watch Daniel Craig wears in the James Bond movies? Thanks!
