carus007 23 Posted February 23, 2013 Hi guys, Just wondering if any body on the site has any information on this watch, The SRP315 Seiko Monster in Orange I have just purchased one and I was wondering if I could get any feedback from fellow owners
Xebryus 0 Posted February 23, 2013 Very famous watch for its durability, lume, and iconic style from Seiko for its price point. I personally love the orange monsters, but I know many that don't as well. You'll love it, especially because the quality is amazing at around 200-300 dollars. carus007 23 Posted February 23, 2013 Thanks never had a Seiko before but from what I have read they are top draw for the price paid. Really looking forward to getting this.

Mazz 62 Posted February 24, 2013 Where did you buy from if you don't mind my asking
jeffrx 0 Posted February 24, 2013 I just got one two days ago. Sure, it's a Seiko and nothing to scream about, but it's a cool f-ing watch for sure. The lume is good and the orange color is nice. Apparently these things can take a beating. I have read on Amazon reviews that some run a minute or two fast per day, so watch that. For me, I switch watches so much that I don't care about a couple of mins per day since I'm always setting the time anyway. Also, there is no hand-wind option, you have to move it to get it to run. For the price, it's a steal of a divers watch and you would be hard-pressed to find a better deal.

Electron17 0 Posted February 24, 2013 Great watch, have one myself. You will enjoy it. Very easy to regulate if it is running too fast or slow.
carus007 23 Posted February 24, 2013 Hi guys I bought it on eBay from rkwatchouse. Paid £200 I know they are cheaper on amazon but they won't ship to the UK on the USA site. Shame as I think I may go for a few Seiko 5's also love the gun metal version. Great to have some nice feedback.
scorpion 0 Posted February 24, 2013 That seems to be the latest Mk2 version - all the previous ones had silver bezels and were priced a bit cheaper. It looks chunky and I like it - what size is it across the bezel?
carus007 23 Posted February 24, 2013 42mm Yes looks nice and chunky and very well built, that's what made me buy it.
onionbag 1 Posted February 24, 2013 I reckon the cheapest way to buy these is to cultivate a relationship with an American member - some chocolates and flowers would be appropriate - then send them the money for them to buy cheaper from US sources.

carus007 23 Posted February 24, 2013 Nice, how much did you pay for yours? Are the Japanese Seiko better and why?
Mazz 62 Posted February 24, 2013 They aren't JDM Monsters just not for the European/ North American markets . And that's a hard question to answer its been debated quite a bit on the oriental watch forums. But I think some of the nicer and more interesting models are saved for the JDM

Eta7750 1 Posted February 24, 2013 I got myself an SRP313 aka 'Dracula' model last week, the 2nd gen monsters have a different movement that hacks and winds. The 2nd gen is more accurate than the 1st gen, mine has only lost 12 seconds in 7 days. Was thinking of getting a tritium watch but having seen the lume on the monster (lasts all night) I'm pleased I got the monter instead.
