flyr 4 Posted February 27, 2013 Picked a manual moonie up from Toro a while ago. I ordered in a plexi from cousinsuk. It came in yesterday so I had a go at installing it and freezing the 6 subdial hand. Not a job for the faint of heart! I'm inexperienced at this,so pulling 6 hands and the dial was daunting. Things went OK and I managed to get it back together with the hands resetting correctly(more grey hairs). I think it turned out well! Here it is. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

flyr 4 Posted March 4, 2013 On the rep manual wind the subdial moves along with the main hour hand. On the gen it only moves after the minute counter subdial goes through 60 minutes when the chrono is being used (counts hours). It would normally stay at the 12 position on the 6 subdial. The mod disconnects the drive to the hand so it stays at 12,makes it look a bit more authentic unless you use the chrono function longer than 60 minutes.
