DayDate Club Thread

Recommended Posts

The DD is one of Rolex's most iconic, and beautiful watches (in my opinion) and RWG doesn't have a specific thread for the DD. Lets change that! Please post pictures of your DayDates and ask any questions here.

We have ROLEX in WATCHES, no need to dedicate a subforum to just one model. Besides, it's not as iconic, as Sub and DSSD.

Well, shouldn't you have to HAVE one to be in the club?

Ill be ordering mine in a few days. I just can't decide which one to order. I was hoping to use this thread to decide. There are picture/club threads for the sub, DJ, gmt, etc.

No one said anything about a subforum mate.

Post away guys! I love a good vintage DD but have yet to find one

I've always thought DD's had cluttered looking dials, I can't decide if I like them or not. I think the non fluted bezel looks nice and sleek and maybe compensates for the cluttered dial..... maybe!

Have to agree with others here though, DD is nowhere near as iconic as DJ or Sub......... or Daytona!

Im also looking to buy I contacked marvellous rep and he ask me to pay with WU; I was wondering do you guys use your real names on the payment or for your shipping address? Also after looking at how nice your reps are I was wondering which TD you guys used.

(admin edit: pointless quote of all the images so far removed).

It’s not a journey

Every journey ends but we go on

The watch turns and we turn with it

Plans disappear and dreams take over

But where ever I go

There you are

My luck

My fate

My fortune

Rolex DayDate

Inevitable.

I don't know if mine qualifies as a vintage, it's from the late 60's and have a Portuguese text day dial, my grandpa bought it here in Brazil. It was his "daily beater" for years, now I have the honor to have it. I have the original box, all the papers and the invoice in my grandpa's name. Recently (2011) serviced @ RSC and the plexy was changed

I love all of these! Which dealers did you guys use? I'm trying to decide on my first purchase. It'll definitely be a DD. Is upwards of 400 too much? Thanks for any help in advance!

If you are a Rolex enthusiast or even like it a bit, you must/should have a DSSD.
