Been cruising the bay for a bit of vintage

Frazzle

So recently I've been cruising the bay and have been taken by the pre 1920 pocket watches, there's really is something enthralling and mesmerising about these Victorian pieces. I've got a few I'm watching and hopefully will post up a few pics when I acquire one. Does anyone have any experience or advise before I jump in?

Also I've been checking out a few WW1 trench watches.

What's your views folks.

Cheers

Get your waistcoat out and chap it up. Got any pics of what you've been going for?

James.

Mostly rubbish on the bay, anything decent is snapped up by collectors who know a whole lot more above vintage watches and movements than you do. IMO and from experience its better and cheaper to parous a few antique warehouse autions on a saturday. I have a couple of 1920/30's omega pocket watches that were bought for 1/2 what you'll find on the bay. Plus you get to see the item and it's condition before you buy.
