Hublot Fusion

Dug out some of these old photos from the archives and really happen to find this watch stunning. Haven't been around here too long but was the Fusion not very well received. Money is burning a hole in my pocket for this....I'd love to hear about any recent experiences. I added a few pictures I stumbled upon searching around RWG's older posts. Thanks!!

I think I might just do that I'll start with WI, that's where one of the watches pictures in my post are from.

 

Any ideas if there have been upgraded releases such as v1 , v1.5, etc.....

Not sure as well, but honestly it's a great looking watch, You'll be happy with it regardless. If the pictures make you happy, could you imagine watch having it on your wrist feels like? A little something like this

I also have a question about the fusion, the gen is available in 33, 42 and 45. 45 is way too big for me, and silix has a 42mm one, but I think it's mistaken and it's actually 45, any thoughts? http://silix-prime.s...roducts_id=4274 anyone knows if there has ever been a smaller version (rep)?

Also, trusty sells a 38mm big bang which would be perfect, but it's a very different model

I have seen a 42mm classic fusion, but by far the most common and accurate to gen especially with the newer ones are the 45mm.

 

For the 45mm,there are at least 3 versions (not necessarily from the same factory, and not necessarily referred to as such). The first are the 21J with a 2813 or a 4813 - these aren't do readily available any more. Second version, the most common and the one in the photo is the A2824 one. These two all have 'automatic' at the bottom and is 0.5mm thicker than their gen counterparts. The latest version is one with an A2892 moment which significantly reduces the weight, makes the watch thinner as per gen specs, has an updated rotor a lot closer to gen, and the 2892 is generally a lot more reliable

Any dealer can source you a 45mm with a 2892. Smallest Classic Fusion rep is 38mm and only come in 2824 or Quartz

i have this version but with the steanless steel bracelet and i have a chrono version with red markers and they are both really good looking an comfrotable watch, sadly the chrono version died last month

Thinking of getting the 45mm for myself and 38mm ceramic for the misses. Any guru able to comment on the above? The rotor of the 38mm ceramic doesn't look rlght; should look more like the rotor on the SS version.

Nothing wrong with the 38mm, they're just less closer to the gen than the 2892 - they're thicker, have the wrong rotor, and has the 'Automatic' label on the dial which they discontinued quite a while ago. Nothing major, i'd get whatever looks good if it's for the misses. Both reliable movements. Perhaps even have a look at some quartz?
